Equine for Everyone is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides adults, kids and teens the opportunity to experience equines. We pride ourselves in providing a fun, safe, and well-rounded equine experience where all can immerse themselves in the moment and enjoy! It is our mission to provide an educational and positive equine experience to those who are passionate about equines.
Developing a connection with the Equine for Everyone horses can empower young riders to find their voice, feel proud and accomplished. Learning that our equine friends do not respond positively to frustration, shouting or aggression leads our young riders to start building relationships based on mutual respect and trust. Understanding how to set and respect boundaries builds confidence and there is no more powerful feeling than overcoming some nerves or a little bit of anxious to enjoy a ride with such a majestic creature.
Building trust, developing clear and direct communication, not thinking about the past or the future, just living in the moment on a ride, can be life changing. Engaging in the moment means you start to become more aware of your surroundings and less aware of the stresses of the day. The heat of the sun, the wind in your face, the stirrups under your feet, the sound of the hooves in the soil – all soon take the place of everyday thoughts, fears and frustrations.
Equine for Everyone exists to offer kids and teens the opportunity to experience the beauty and wonder of engaging with one of the world’s most amazing animals. A place to practice patience, show compassion and feel brave. Making this experience accessible to all means that each young person can feel special, while enjoying the positive benefits that come with riding and caring for horses. Sometimes it just feels really freeing to have control over something, even just for a little while.
We created Equine for Everyone because equines have had such a profound impact on our life, so much that we want to give this opportunity to others. Horses have a lot to offer humans, and not everyone has an avenue to learn about them or experience them. It is our goal to give this opportunity to individuals to experience equines in a positive way that will leave a lasting impression.
We are offering families the opportunity to experience our program on an individual basis.
